What I Got For My Birthday

On Saturday I celebrated my 32nd birthday. I'm in age denial, even typing that felt rather odd.

I feel so grateful for what I have, and I look at my life at 32 years old and I am just where I would have wanted to be and much more. It's probably my contentment that makes being another year older a bit harder to swallow.
Let's not hurry up this ageing process.
Lets be present now, enjoy now and soak up every minute with younger looking skin, brown hair and youthful *cough cough* energy.

This year was the first year I can remember that I haven't marked my birthday with some kind of event. This year, I wanted to treat my birthday like any other day and just enjoy a day at home, my first one as a mummy, with the two people who are the centre of my universe. My baby girl and my husband. I had the perfect day and even though we didn't do anything fancy and ordered Dominos for lunch (after being on a strict diet and declaring my birthday as a cheat day this was the perfect birthday feast), it was my first birthday as mummy and I couldn't have asked for anything more.

The week leading up to my birthday was very exciting. I had so many surprise deliveries and I was very spoilt. All of my gifts were very unexpected and not necessary as I have everything I need. In saying that, I felt very special and I loved every single thing received so I thought I would share, just in case any of you need any birthday gift inspiration.

OPI Nail Polish Set
I used to feel naked if I didn't have nail polish on, since baby girl was born I haven't applied one coat! This has given me the incentive that I need to get my nail polish mojo back.

Fitbit One
I've been wanting one of these for a long time. The Fitbit One is just what I've been needing to track calories coming in and out. It tracks your activity throughout the day, steps and even stairs climbed. It also tracks your sleep quality at night. 3 days in and I'm loving it so far.

Stationary! Notebook and sticky notes from Accessorize and 2 pack note book from Next
A girl can never have too much stationary. These are perfect and I was just about to go and buy myself a whole bunch of organising bits and pieces but I don't need to now.

Necklace - John Lewis
I absolutely love this necklace and I think its going to be perfect to take on holidays with me.

Cake!! :)

Fridge magnet picture frame - Accessorize
I think these are just soon cute. I can't wait to stick some pictures in them and get them up on our fridge.

Tote bag - John Lewis
Since becoming a mum I can probably count on my fingers the number of times I've used my own handbag. I normally just end up shoving my bits in baby girl's changing bag. After 10 months her changing bag is getting a bit boring so this baby is going to be a great hybrid bad for both of us.

Flower deliveries
I am such a lover of flowers. I love fresh flowers in the house. I'd have them in very room if I could. Theres something so special about flower deliveries.

Red scarf - All the way from Australia
I love the colour of this scarf. It will be fab when the weather starts to cool down a bit. My mind is already wandering thinking about how I'm going to style it.
