Losing Baby Weight Challenge: Week #2

Week 2 of my losing weight challenge is done and dusted. I have mentioned before that I've been on and off the bandwagon a lot since baby girl was born. Things always seem to crumble around week 2 - 3, so this time is really important for me to keep focused right now.

Diet
Things got a bit messy with the Bootea tea detox. You're meant to drink the night tea every second day and I kept on forgetting if I should be having it or not so I didn't do it exactly as it should be done. I might try it again in a couple of weeks and set myself phone alarms so I know the nights I need to have a tea. I'm still loving the Bootea oats for breakfast.
Here's an idea of my meals throughout the week:
Breakfast: Bootea oats
Lunch: Some days salads, others a slice of seed sensation bread, be good to yourself cheese slice, lettuce, pickle relish and a packet of quavers (this is less than 350 calories).
Dinner: Things like cauliflower mash and vegetarian sausages, oven baked salmon with tomato and spring onion salsa, courgetti, one lazy night beans and a slice of toast and on Friday I went to a friends house for dinner and she made an amazing Spanish Omelette.
I stopped counting the calories on Friday and Saturday and relaxed a little but I was still mindful of what I ate. The other days I was able to stick to 1200 calories.
I often find when I'm on a diet I eat the same things over again. It saves me from thinking too much about food, and then thinking about naughty choices

Exercise
So I'm focussing on Operation 10k and I'm happy to say I did 10,000 steps 3 days last week so thats an improvement of the two days the week before. I'm happy with is that even the days where I didn't make the 10,000 I got pretty close so my total steps during the week was 60,753. Last week was 48,741 so I did good!

The Results

I'll take that! I'm happy with my progress. Perhaps next week I'll be able to weigh in and tell you I've lost my first stone.

Do you have any weight loss secrets I should know about?

  1. Well done!! I find it so hard to keep motivation especially 2 weeks in! But you're already doing so well. Even the first week I find it hard to get a result, even when I'm really good. :( Keep going, I look forward to hearing your updates and how you get on

  2. Thank you Kels. It is so hard to be motivated during week 2 and 3. I find that if I can push past those things get a little easier. Week 3 has been OK so far but I have been craving a lot of bad food! Thanks for stopping by xx
