Photo Diary: Our Family Weekend In Florence

At the beginning of December we decided it had been far too long between travel for us so we booked a weekend away for my husband J, Baby Girl and I to go to Florence.

Florence is somewhere very close to our hearts. We were married in the hills of Tuscany and have already created some amazing memories in this amazing city so close to our wedding venue. We decided we just had to go and show Baby Girl.

There is beauty in every corner you turn in Florence. It's one of those cities that takes my breath away. I'll be sharing a review on the hotel we stayed at, as well as a separate post on some practical details but for now I just wanted to leave you with a small selection from the hundreds of photos I took during our break. Hope you enjoy!

Plaza Hotel Lucchesi was amazing.

Plaza Hotel Lucchesi was amazing. The best bit? The rooftop pool and bar with incredible views of the whole city

Florence, through her eyes. The Duomo is in the background and is completely stunning.

Our hotel was right near Santa Croce and there was an amazing German Christmas market covering the whole square

We brought home one of these wooden trees with dangling bells for the tree

Father and daughter. The best pair xx

Beauty everywhere. Like this stunning marble bath just chilling. I want this in my home!

Gelato in Italy is the business.

And pasta, both Baby Girl and I are still dreaming about the pasta.

There's a leather market in Florence that has anything leather you can possibly imagine in any shape, colour and size.

The first few times I visited Florence,  I looked straight though this carousel in Piazza della Republicca

There's so may things you 'see' for the first time when you're sharing it with you little mini.

Florence by night.

Looking through these photos makes me want to go ahead and book another weekend. If you haven't been to Florence I highly recommend putting it on the bucket list. Getting there is pretty straight forward and doesn't need to bust the bank. Check back in a couple of weeks for everything you need to know about planning a weekend in this wonderful city.

Next bit of planning..... Singapore!

What are your 2017 travel plans?
