The sun has been shining, the days have been warm and me and baby girl have spent a lot of time in our local park. I've been so looking forward to this time of year and I'm so happy summer is pretty much here.
Last weekend a small group of us decided to have a picnic. It was such a nice day. We lay down a picnic blanket, grazed, played with baby girl and lay in the sun all afternoon.
I was responsible for the picnic basket and by Saturday evening I realised I hadn't arranged anything so I decided to rummage through my fridge and cupboards and put some bits together, have a quick baking session to make some mini quiches and write a small list of things to purchase from Sainsbury's. We had a feast and all enjoyed it so I thought I would do a post on what's in my picnic basket just in case you are looking for some inspiration this summer.
I believe the secret to a good picnic basket is plenty of refreshments, lots of variety and some freshly baked goods.
OK so it might not be a picnic basket but this super large tote I picked up from American Apparel fit everything in and is really durable. I use it so much.
Have you entered my GIVEAWAY? If you haven't, make sure you do. You're in for a chance to win a Little Bump Shop Bouquet of your choice AND a Tiffany & Co. open heart pendant.

- Sparking water
- Soft drinks (coke zero is my secret addiction)
- Breadstick
- Homemade pizza (This was leftovers from the night before, made up go leftovers -thrifty much?) Wholemeal wrap bread, with a tomato sauce base and topped with sweetcorn, peppers, onion and mozzarella cheese)
- Pea & cream cheese fritters - also left overs. I have a recipe for these on my blog. Just substitute the sweet corn for peas.
- Cucumber & carrot sticks
- Piri piri hummus
- Butternut squash and asparagus mini quiches. I posted the recipe for these on Tuesday.
- Kettle Crisps - Matture cheddar and red onion
- Organix carrot sticks for baby girl
- Blueberries
- Ella's kitchen apple pouch for baby girl
- Mexicana cheddar cheese. This stuff is the bomb dignity, if you haven't tried it you really should!
- Ready made sweet leaf salad
- Butter, for the bread of course.
- Mateus rose wine. This is lovely, fresh and a little bit sparkly. Perfect for summer.
- Tomato Ketchup
- Sweet onion relish
- Chocolate cake - OK I cheated on the baking front with this but it was SO good.
- Paper Plates
- Plastic Cups
- Straws
- Disposable Cutlery
- Blanket

DeleteYour picnic looks fantastic! I am totally obsessed with fresh bread sticks at the moment - those with slices of chorizo and some creamy bree is a winner for me!! xx
ReplyDeleteMe too! Which is not such a good thing haha. This was a vegetarian picnic sense lacking the meat but brie would have been an excellent addition that I'll have to remember next time. K x

ReplyDeleteAll types of women are looking for ways to purchase sex toys. For some, it is their first experience with masturbation, while others enjoy incorporating sex toys into their everyday relationships. Sex toys have become available through various websites and independent representatives as well as at novelty shops and even some gift shops. There are a few options for those looking for the most discretion when purchasing sex toys.바이브레이터
