A Peek Into My Home: Bedroom Tour

Well it's been some time between house tour posts and this one has been a long time coming. Today I'm so excited to be sharing the finer details of my bedroom with you. Sleep is one of my favourite past times and being able to sleep in a cosy bedroom is really important to me. I've created a bedroom that is cosy and practical with just the look I was trying to get and I just love my bedroom.

The general theme of our bedroom is vintage and I have been able to incorporate some of my favourite trends in the look with subtle bits of copper and monochrome throughout. I also love that it's a bright space.

Our bed is a super king, which is just as well for my husband J because I like to spread out. It has come in real handy since the birth of our daughter because she has ended up sleeping in it countless nights. There's plenty of room for all three of us, although J does profess that whenever all three of us sleep in there, he is stuck right on the edge nearly falling off the bed because of us girls. I think his nose is out of joint because he owned this bed before either of us were around and we've taken over haha.

Another important bedroom feature for me is storage. Although I try really hard not to be, I am a hoarder but at the same time I hate clutter so being able to home everything away from sight is a must.

Our bedhead is from DFS and is the more extravagant purchase for our bedroom. It was absolutely worth the investment. I love that it's so big. The quality is superb and it's so soft and squishy. This was amazing to lean up against when I was up doing night feeds at all hours.

I searched high and low for a storage ottoman that was a similar colour and style to our bedhead and was big enough to match the length of a super king bed so I was happy when I found this baby.

The frames above the bedhead are a beautiful antique copper colour and are just gorgeous. I drew the Mr & Mrs myself by hand. I was quite particular with what I was looking for and impatient so I decided to just do it myself. It's not exactly perfect but I think that just adds to the character.

This gorgeous copper tray is the perfect flat surface to go on the bed. Practical and it looks fabulous!

This chair was never intended for the bedroom. It used to be in our living area but became a bedroom chair when we needed to make more space for a third human. I really like it in our room now and I think that's always where it should have always been in the first place.

I've always wanted a grand Hollywood mirror and I think my makeshift lights display is the closest I will get.

I am totally in love with this rug and if you follow me on Instagram, you'll see that I've been using this as the backdrop to some of my pictures lately. I'm loving monochrome backgrounds.

Our wardrobes are PAX IKEA. They are brilliant. They are basically a shell and you can customise every little detail from the doors and outside bits through to exactly how you want the inside. Inside ours there are plenty of wire drawers that have a great capacity. My wardrobe even has a large insert for all my costume jewellery. L O V E!

I picked this clipboard and notebook set up during my holiday in Australia. It's from Kikki-K, which is huge in Australia. I'm really excited to see they have also opened in the UK now. Even though it's a notebook I think it's too pretty to use and for now I'm just enjoying the fabulous print.

This exposed light bulb gives me LIFE! I just love it. This duvet set from Next is the waffle stripped white 300 three count cotton set. It's the softest bedding I've ever owned and if you could come close to feeling like you are sleeping on a cloud this may just be it. It's a recent purchase and still available for sale. The square pillowcases are also a Next purchase.

Fresh flowers always.

And a little fox to keep our door from constantly swinging closed.

This dresser is where all my make up magic happens. It's my pretty little corner in the room.

  2. LOVE, LOVE it!! Absolutely gorgeous! Especially the ottoman — we have a giant superking bed as well and I'd love something to go at the foot of it but everything I've looked at is too short. What a lovely, restful room. Thanks so much for sharing and linking up with us :) #HomeEtc

    1. Thanks Kara. I love the armchair now it's in there but I wasn't happy about the thought of it coming up here. I felt that it didn't fit with the tool but now I think that's what makes it so fabulous x

  10. This feeling is all too familiar for many of us, but it looks like you may have the chance to avoid this feeling by sleeping on a bunk bed! triple bunk bed walmart

  11. https://nacrystal.com/home-decor-gift/ There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the type of crystals that will work best in a living room will depend on a number of factors, including the size and layout of the space, the overall design aesthetic, and personal preferences. Some popular crystals for living rooms include clear quartz, amethyst, and rose quartz. These crystals are thought to have calming and grounding properties that can help create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the living room. Other crystals that may be suitable for the living room include citrine, which is believed to promote abundance and positivity, and selenite, which is known for its ability to cleanse and purify the energy of a space. Ultimately, the best crystals for your living room are the ones that resonate with you and fit with the overall design of the space.
