Happy First Blogiversary To Me

I can hardly believe that it's been a year when one evening, back in the days that I didn't let my sleeping baby out of my sight, I started this blog. I put her down in her crib right next to my bed, randomly picked up my clunky old laptop, set myself up a blog profile, decided on a name and typed out this little ramble. My first post:

This is where it all started. I always knew I would start a blog some day but this was still, as has been many things I've done in my life, quite an impulse step. I had no idea how amazing starting this blog would be for me. It's allowed me to use my creativity, develop my writing, discover passions I never knew I had - like photography, it's allowed me a platform to talk about my business which was in the works long long before my blog and most importantly and unexpectedly I have become a part of this amazing blog community. A community that truly cares, supports and lifts one another.

One year down and I'm so proud that I  am growing my very own little community. Writing this blog is now my thing, my happy place, my little diary and I feel so happy that I can share it with you. To share bits of my life with you. I am so grateful to those of you that follow my little journey and take time out of your day to see what I've been up to.

To celebrate my one year blogiversary I've decided to do two things:

• Give my blog a makeover. I spent all night last night perfecting my new blog look so it would be ready just in time for this special occasion. What do you think? I think it's a more mature look suited to my blog now that it's growing up.
• Run a very special giveaway. I will actually be launching this on Sunday alongside one of my very special blogger friends. The prize will be an amazing bundle that would be perfect for a very special mummy. This is why we're holding off to launch it on Mother's Day.

One final thing I'd like to mention is, this month I had my very first magazine feature as a blogger. When Gurgle magazine got in touch and asked for my input on an article being written about our favourite baby toys I was over the moon. To see my name in print right next to some bloggers that I have followed for a long time and really look up to is a huge achievement for me and it's such a nice feeling to be recognised even though I still feel like such a small fish.

Thank you all so much again. I'm on an exciting journey and I hope you stick around to help me watch it unfold.
