Weekly Grocery Haul & Meal Plan (Sainsbury's) #2

Today, I'm coming back at you with another grocery haul. I really wanted to capture this on video but by the time I wanted to shoot it the lighting was terrible. I've had to brighten these pics right up! Next one will definitely be a video haul. Make sure you sign up to my brand new YouTube channel if you're interested in seeing that :)

This is actually our shop from a few weeks ago. It was a pretty small shop that week. We had a lot of weekend plans so I was only planning Mon - Fri dinners. We're weren't going to be home for lunches too often also so was just planning on leftovers and sandwiches when we were. I had a load of things in the freezer like frozen vegetables and salmon. I had also done a fruit shop prior to this. Next time I'll show you what a full shop looks like for us, but for the mean time - here's this one:

Meat

1 x Lemon, garlic & thyme roast chicken
1 x Beef stir fry strips pack
1 x Beef mince pack

Veg

1 x 1 kg onions pack
1 x Ready to roast Mediterranean vegetables pack
1 x Watercress, spinach & rocket pack
1 x Sweet corn cobettes (4 pack)
1 x Mushroom & spinach burgers (2 pack)

For The Fridge

1 x Arlo big milk
2 x Cravendale skimmed milk
2 x Buxton sparking water (8 pack)
2 x Coke Zero cans (8 pack)
1 x pkt English salted butter

For The Pantry

2 x Quavers (6 pack)
1 x Hartley's seedless raspberry jam
1 x Sainsbury's reduced salt and sugar ketchup
1 x Fry Light oil spray
1 x Ella's Kitchen pineapple & coconut bars (5 pack)
1 x Ella's Kitchen apple & cucumber pouches (4 pack)
1 x Hovis small wholemeal loaf

For The Household

1 x Viakal

I misplaced the receipt so I don't have the break down of the individual costs but in total the whole shop was pretty close to £50.

My husband and I both love sparkling water and Coke Zero so that nearly always features in our weekly shop. The skimmed milk had a deal for two so because filtered lasts longer I got them. The Ella's kitchen bits are great for when I'm out and about with Baby Girl.

The meat is mostly prepared to  point where I don't have to do to much with it. The vegetarian in me doesn't really like to have to touch meat too much!

The Viakal is how I get my bathroom and kitchen shiny and I swear but it!

Here's our meal plan:

Monday
Roast Chicken with roast potatoes, carrots and peas (Me - Quorn chicken fillet with the veggies)

Tuesday
Roasted Mediterranean vegetable tart & rocket salad with lemon dressing. You can click on the link if you want the recipe for the tart.

Wednesday
Baked salmon with mashed potatoes & roasted asparagus

Thursday
Beef stir fry with rice and broccoli (left over frozen veggie lasagne for me)

Friday
Beef burgers with corn cobettes (spinach and mushroom burger for me)

These are mostly pretty staple meals for us. What are your family favourites that you make regularly?

Kat x
