Losing Baby Weight Challenge Week 5

This week I have felt like I got back on track and I'm in the right headspace. Time really flies. I'm in week 5 of this weight loss thing. I'm proud of myself because this is the furthest I've got. The longer that I go on, the more I believe I can reach my end goal of losing 4 stone.

This, ladies and gentlemen is my current inspiration.

We have booked our accommodation for Singapore. These are the two pools I am picturing myself basking in the sun and lounging by the pool in my swim wear. I'm on the 3 month count down.

Diet
Last week I was super busy. I wasn't at home a lot during the day and I could just about cook up a homemade meal for baby girl, let alone myself. I know it would make life easier for me if she ate the same thing as me but right now I know that my low fat, low carb, vegetarian diet is no good for her. Thank goodness J is currently on his own special diet and he is cooking his own food. I don't know how I would cope preparing 3 separate meals.
Breakfast: Alternating between Bootea oats and toast. I am having the Hovis wholemeal small loaf with a thin spread of Lurpak butter which is under 200 calories.
Lunch: Was on the go last week and I was always passing a Tesco around the lunch hour so I had the same thing every day. A veggie sushi snack pack and a packet of quavers.
Dinner: Quorn lasagne, Quorn shepherds pie, Quorn nuggets - all with salad, Veggie sausages and cauliflower mash. I love this meal - I had it 3 times! On Sunday I really indulged. I spent the afternoon in Primrose Hill with my best friend and I had an amazing pizza, so there was no counting calories for me on Sunday. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen how good it looked.

Exercise
I was a bit worried about how my 10,000 steps goal was going to be impacted as I was driving around a lot last week but it turns out I had a best ever week. Woohoo! I smashed 10,000 steps 3 days and came really close another 2 days. I'm getting into the swing of this!

The Results

I'm so happy this week. For anyone else whose weight fluctuates, you know what it's like when you can never get your weight under that magic number? Well I'm happy to say I'm now under my magic number. Woohoo. My clothes are fitting better and I am feeling good. I even managed to wear my tight jeans out all day on Sunday and I didn't have to undo the zip or top button even after consuming that pizza.

This weekend is baby girl's birthday party so between me being busy baking lots of sweet treats for the occasion - and let's be real here - consuming them, I'm not sure I will weigh in next week. I'll see how it all goes. If not I'll definitely check in for a week 7 post.

If any of you bloggers reading this do any posts on weight loss or know of any good posts, please let me know. I'd love to read them.

Kat x

    1. Thank you for the encouragement! I'm a little bit addicted to those stats. I've forgotten to wear my fit bit for parts of a couple of days in the last week and I'm so mad at myself as it will affect my stats haha x
