Toddler Haul: Australian Accessories & Christmas Stocking

When we decided to spend Christmas in the UK I worried about how we would be able to spoil Baby Girl. I knew we had to be careful about the gifts she would open on Christmas day and was mindful that we would have to be able to carry everything back home.

I decided that her main present would be a play kitchen from Ikea which I would get for her when we returned to the UK and that I would get her some token gifts from Australia for her to open on Christmas day.

Baby Girl is still at the stage where she is not necessarily impressed with elaborate toys. She is simply happy with a plastic bowl and spoon and this can keep her entertained for ages. Toys also take up room in the suitcase. She is also at the stage where she loves to mimic me and anything that I have so I decided that I would get her a selection of accessories from my favourite Australian kids stores. I picked up some totally adorable bits and I just had to share them with you.

Country Road  |  santa sack

Bardot Junior  |  princess crown

Country Road  |  sandals

Cotton On Kids  |  beaded necklace

Bardot Junior  |  sunglasses

Cotton On Kids  |  fringed bag

Cotton On Kids  |  watermelon handbag

Kmart  |  walking duck

I thought it wouldn't be fair for Santa not to bring at least one toy so he got her this walking duck. Sorry it's not a great photo! You build the track (great so it's really transportable), put the duck at the top and gravity makes it waddle down. It's so cool! Baby girl loved the rest of her bits and pieces. She's already a little lady at such a young age.

Luckily Santa was mindful of luggage space because Baby Girl was totally spoilt by the rest of the family for Christmas and we've had to get another bag to take back all of our extra baggage.

This is my first post of 2016. I hope you all celebrated bringing in the New Year just how you wanted. Gone are the days where I want to be at the hottest New Years party and this year I spent it at my mums house with my older brother, my sister in law and my precious daughter and husband. We laughed, talked, played games and had a great view of the Melbourne city fireworks at midnight. I couldn't imagine spending it any better way!

Happy New Year! I can't wait to see what 2016 has in store for me and I look forward to sharing it with you all.

  2. Looks like she got some lovely bits. I wasn't really a kid fascinated with toys so clothes and things like that were always a great buy for me! x

    1. I was exactly the same Rhian which is why I thought accessories would be perfect for Baby Girl particularly as we were limited with luggage x
