My Top 5: Fave Places Shop For Baby Girl

My name is Kat and I'm a shopaholic. For me, there's nothing better than spending the day shopping, coming home with my goods and admiring my haul. Or ordering online and receiving for that delivery. Shopping definitely takes me to my happy place.

Life before baby, I was big on shopping for myself. Keeping up with the latest clothing and shoe trends and sorting and resorting my wardrobe at the end of every season. These days most of my clothes are ruined. I am constantly covered in spit up, milk, food, saliva and anything else my baby wants to throw my way. I'm also still on the quest to lose my baby weight and my clothes are not fitting the way I would like them to. So my trusty Zara leggings and a baggy top fit for breastfeeding are pretty much my staples at the moment and I rarely deviate far from that leaving little to no opportunity to shop for myself.

My obsession with buying for myself has now been refocused to buying clothes for baby girl. Since I hit 30 weeks into my pregnancy I've spent many hours shopping for her. Baby clothes are everywhere and oh so adorable. I just love dressing her in cute outfits and finding the perfect accessories to match. She's such a doll.

I thought I'd make a list of the top 5 places I like to shop for her. They made the list for their scrumptiousness, quality, range, variety and value.

1. Next
My hands down favourite. Baby girl lived in their sleepsuits as a newborn. There are so many gorgeous designs. They are great quality and the sleepsuits from newborn up to 6 months come with fold over scratch mitts. All of the clothes are so beautiful and they have a huge range so I always find the kind of item I am looking for.

2. Choice Discount
I managed to accidentally stumble across this place. I have linked their website however you really need to go into their store to get the full benefits. They are actually a stockist for Next seconds - which means the stock they felt was not quite good enough to sell in the Next stores themselves. They have a large range of their baby clothes and are restocked regularly. I brought so many Next sleepsuits from there for £2.50 and I have never been able to tell why they are seconds apart from the black permanent market they mark the tags with .

3. River Island Mini
This place is dangerous, very dangerous. The clothes that River Island produce for babies are just like what you or I would wear except are in mini form. SO CUTE! I brought baby girl her first pair of stone wash skinny denims from here.

4. Bonds
Bonds are an Australian company that are a super popular choice for baby clothes over there so when I went back home for a visit when I was 6 months pregnant I had to pick up some bits for baby girl. I have since had 3 Aussie visitors bring me over Bonds goodies when they have come to meet baby girl because I loved their clothes so much. They do deliver worldwide and at the moment it looks as though they are offering free international shipping when you spend $100 AUD or more (aprx £50). Their basics are the business! Sleepsuits, bodysuits, singlets, leggings and even socks. They are really great quality and have such cute designs in so many different colours. My favourite sleepsuit is the Wondersuit. It has a two way zip and built in mittens and socks so their little hands and feet can either be free or covered.

5. Carters
Carters are an American based company. They have so many gorgeous baby clothes I literally spent hours trawling through their website when I first came across it. They have everything from basics, the cutest little sets, clothes, accessories and more. They have a really good review system on their website too where shoppers leave their reviews on the items. This is really good because you can get insight into items that you wouldn't normally get online for example small or large sizings, discrepencies in colours and just gernally if people love the pieces or not. I love Carters for their bodysuits - both singlet style and long sleeve. They have sales where they offer 50% off everything so keep your eye out for them and you can get some good bargains. Watch out for taxes though, because the goods are coming from America that will be added on at checkout and then there's delivery on top of that. Because of the additional charges I would only buy from them when they are having a sale but I have done a couple of orders with them at sales times and got some good bargains even with the taxes and shipping.

Finally, I just wanted to wish you all a great weekend. It's Friday, the first day of Spring and its International Day of Happiness!
