Losing Baby Weight Challenge Update: Nov 16th 2015

OK so I promised I would weigh in every week before I go away so today is the day!

It's so easy to lose your way and your motivation when you're dieting so I'm pleased to say I am very positively back on the weight loss bus. I feel strong, I feel determined and I feel like I have will power again. 4 days of meal replacements last week really helped me get back in the mindset. It also helps that Baby Girl is sleeping a lot better and I feel like I have a lot more time and energy to make the right choices.

So without further ado, here are my results!

I really haven't been doing anything miraculously out of the norm. Its been pretty simple really. It feels easier if I don't over complicate things and it's just a part of day to day rather than extreme.
Diet: No more than 1200 calories per day. I find it easier sticking to eating very similar things, it helps me not have to think about things too much and doesn't allow my mind to wander. Breakfast is normally porridge or 2 small slices of hovis wholemeal toast with a thin spread of Lurpak. Lunch is normally soups (I always have a big home made batch in the fridge) or some kind of salad. Dinner has been different varieties of steamed vegetables and quorn nuggets. They are low in calories, give me protein and go well with my steamed vegetables. If I feel like a snack I allow myself as long as it's in my calorie allowance. One day I even allowed myself a crunchie. I had left over calories and the bar was only 150! That meant I dealt with my sweet craving and it was gone without doing any major damage.
Exercise: We had one big walk around our park and apart from that have just been walking everywhere. It has been difficult to get out some days because the weather has been terrible but whenever we could manage to get out and about we did.

Do any of you have any success stories with at home work outs?

I have previously tried the 30 day shred but it was too much for me to try and do every day and I started to get sore knees. I'm wondering if I should try and incorporate something more gentler? I have 3 weeks to go and I know if I'm focussed I can really make a difference  in that time!

  1. My goodness! Well done, that's great. Lack of sleep is terrible for eating right. When I don't sleep well it's sugar fest the next day.
